UNIQUE-II SIBAS for ND-100

Description

4th generation program for storing, modifying and retrieving data in SIBAS database systems.

Prerequisites

The following are required in order to use this product.

Hardware

Computer: ND-100, ND-100 CX or ND-110 CX

Floating format: 32 or 48 bit

Software

Operating system: SINTRAN III VS >= version I (for ND-100), SINTRAN III VSX >= version I (for ND-100 CX and ND-110 CX)

Other:

Installation

Preparations

Prior to the installation, verify the following:

  • That your installation fulfills the requirements on page 1.
  • That the user areas specified on page 1 exists with the specified number of free pages and free files. If not, find a directory having enough space to hold the users. The installation program will try to allocate space whenever needed, but you may need to specify on which directory to create user areas.
  • If (and where) (DIALOG-SYS)SIBLIB2:BRF and (USER-ENVIRONMENT)UE-PLIB-2B-C:BRF are installed. If not installed on the default user area, the installation program will ask where to find these files.

Installation from floppy

  • put the floppy disk into the machine.
  • Log in to user area SYSTEM.
  • Enter directory 210729C<rev>-XX-01 on the floppy disk.
  • Run the INSTALL program on the floppy disk.

If using single-sided diskettes, replace the diskettes as instructed. The installation program will guide you trough the installation.

The following is an example on how to enter the directory and start the installation program.

@ENTER-DIRECTORY 210729C<rev>-XX-01D FLOPPY-DISC-1 0
@(210729C:FLOPPY-USER)INSTALL

You may install UNIQUE on any user area, but DIALOG-SYS is recommmended in the installation program.

After installing UNIQUE

After a succcessful installation of UNIQUE, you must update the file DUMP-REENTRANT:MODE with the following command:

@MODE (<load-user>)UNIQ-DUMP-S1-C:MODE (<load-user>)UNIQ-DUMP-S1-C:LIST

where <load-user> is the name of the user where the :PROG files are loaded.
