:No, the image probably came from the machine [[ND-110 Satellite 988 21251|988.21251]], which has a different configuration. A different CPU at least. Will SINTRAN III fail with such an error if the disk driver (looks like both machines have [[3201]] card) is the same? What happens if the machine identification number is wrong? : I don't know about the machine ID but for the hardware I think the hdd card has to be same, the device no for it, and also the disk size and type and port connected. There really is no plug and play with ND computers, so all that will be done during installation. Is the machine the image came from absolutely identical in hw configuration to the one you have? If not the configuration will probably be wrong and it will have the wrong "device drivers". Also it will have the wrong machine identification number.. /Roger (talk) 20:45, 18 July 2016 (UTC)

No, the image probably came from the machine 988.21251, which has a different configuration. A different CPU at least. Will SINTRAN III fail with such an error if the disk driver (looks like both machines have 3201 card) is the same? What happens if the machine identification number is wrong?
