ND product(s) section

The "ND product(s)" section is a way to link programs back to their ND product number, so people can locate install images (if any exists). Do you think this is a good way to do it? --Torfinn (talk) 10:04, 10 October 2016 (UTC)

I'm ok with it. I wonder though if we should invent a new category for the product number pages - 'ND product description' or some such, instead of lumping them together with the 'named software' in the Norsk Data Software category. --TArntsen (talk) 02:45, 11 October 2016 (UTC)
that sounds like a good idea. Perhaps 'ND product description' should be a subcategory in 'Norsk Data documentation'? For those pages where we have (links to) software images we could add another category, 'ND software image' or something like that, which could be a subcategory of Norsk Data Software. --Torfinn (talk) 09:46, 11 October 2016 (UTC)
another thought - if we create product categories (ND-211056 for SPRINT), we can remove the "product number" pages. The only thing missing then would be versions that are not described on NDwiki yet. I have changed the SPRINT page and added necessary categories. What thinks? --Torfinn (talk) 10:47, 11 October 2016 (UTC)
Yes.. insofar as the current product number pages (the ones without letters/versions) are afaics basically a duplicate of the category number. --TArntsen (talk) 10:53, 11 October 2016 (UTC)
When we started this wiki we only had 20-30 floppys. Today we have issues to finding images from too much data. What a development! I think it's great you are discussing how to best form the software side of the wiki. Today I have about five banana boxes full of floppies that I will go through when time permits. I will let you two go on and form a working system. In the meantime I'm working on a new library layout. --Gandalf (talk) 21:08, 11 October 2016 (UTC)
