- heh, both packages from eBay arrived on the same day. Now I have silicone tubing to try out on the capstan.

- ordered some silicone tubing to see if it might act as a replacement for decayed rubber on the capstan. The sizes I ordered is 10x12 mm and 10x14 mm (inner diameter x outer diameter).

- got the Digitronics 2540 from "my friendly fellow in town" along with a lot of other stuff. The condition of the reader is unknown, but a visual inspections shows that the rubber on the capstan wheel is broken - needs replacement.
