@DISABLE-ESCAPE-FUNCTION <logical device number>
<logical device number>
must be a terminal (octal, default = own terminal).

The escape character is ignored in user mode, i.e. no "user break" will be performed. Rules:

  1. Permitted for all users. However, only user SYSTEM can specify other <logical device number> than his own.
  2. The escape function is enabled when logging out.
  3. This feature will also work for edited input (see Norsk Data Document ND–60.128.01 SINTRAN III REFERENCE MANUAL (printed June 1980), Appendix C).

Example:

@DISABLE-ESCAPE-FUNCTION

No "user break" will be performed for the user's own terminal.
