New page

==Introduction==

The ND-125/CX is an upgraded version of the ND-120/CX 3202N CPU Board.

This upgrade makes CPU and Memory Management able to address up to 16 MB RAM onboard the CPU Card, and has improved speed because of quicker memory modules.

(The ND-120 can only address 6MB onboard memory)

==Upgrade process==
The upgrade process is described in ECO-ND-100-786, and based on dating in the document this was created in September of 1994.
<ref>http://sintran.com/sintran/library/libeco/ECO-ND-100-786.pdf</ref>

The following improvements are made:
* Memory size is increased to 8, 12, or 16 Mbyte by using 4 Mbyte SIMM's instead of 1Mbyte SIP's.
* Memory Cycle time is speeded up from 225 ns to 150 ns by using 70 ns memory modules instead of 100 ns.
