CIIR, Central Institute for Industrial Research, or, in Norwegian, SI (Sentralinstituttet)[1]. Established in Oslo in 1949. Merged with, and became SINTEF in 1993.

Developed the first version of the database system SIBAS for Norsk Data, in 1974. Was also involved as a partner in expanding and improving SIBAS to become SIBAS II, around 1980-1982.
