Introduction
A floppy controller for 8 inch floppy drives.
Switches and indicators
From top of the card
A three digits error code display. After Master Clear, the floppy controller will start a selftest. If successful, 000 will be shown, else an error code is displayed here. During transfer 000 is normally displayed. If an error occurs, and "E" with an error code is displayed.
A device number thumbwheel switch
- 0 - floppy disk system no 1 - device number 1560 (octal) - Ident = 21
- 1 - floppy disk system no 2 - device number 1570 (octal) - Ident = 22
Setting 2-15 are unused, will answer on IOX 0-7.
Connectors
The A and B connectors are used for I/O, the C connector is used for the ND-100 Bus.
