@INITIALIZE-BACKGROUND-PROGRAMS

Initiate the background terminal programs and batch processors.

Rules:

  1. Permitted only for user SYSTEM.
  2. The command is usually given once after a "cold start" (using MACM and )HENT) after the segment files have been defined (see *DEFINE-SEGMENT-FILE under @SINTRAN-SERVICE-PROGRAM).
  3. Space is allocated for background programs on the segment file. If a nonstandard size is required this can be done at system generation time or by the command @CHANGE-BACKGROUND-SEGMENT-SIZE before @INITIALIZE-BACKGROUND-PROGRAMS.
