CIIR, Central Institute for Industrial Research, or, in Norwegian, SI (Sentralinstituttet). Established in Oslo in 1949. Merged with, and became SINTEF in 1993.

Developed the first version of the database system SIBAS for Norsk Data, in 1974. Was also involved as a partner in expanding and improving SIBAS to become SIBAS II, around 1980-1982.
