@RELEASE-FILE <file name>

Permit a peripheral file to be used from other terminals. This command is used to release a previously reserved file from the current terminal. <file name> is the name of a peripheral device, for example LINE-PRINTER, or the name of a directory file.

<file name>
must be a peripheral file.

Rules:

  1. Permitted for all users.

Example:

@RELEASE-FILE LINE-PRINTER

The (peripheral) file LINE-PRINTER is release from the terminal user.
