Does subst:CURRENTUSER work? Tingo Yes, that too works.
Final test, does User:subst:CURRENTUSER work? User:Tingo - yes.
I wonder why it doesn't work with the licenses on the upload page.

Do we have Wikipedia templates?
Like the Wikipedia:Template:User link template? Tingo Nope - it doesn't exist here
Template Infoboxround - does it work?

Does "Wikipedia" style links work? Wikipedia:Norsk Data yes, they do.
